I work with a wide range of people navigating many different experiences — from crisis and grief to personal growth and preventative mental health care.

I have been in full-time private practice since 2020. While I have training across multiple therapeutic approaches, I do not believe one approach fits everyone. I work collaboratively and draw from a range of tools depending on what feels most supportive and effective for you.

A Few Things I Believe

The relationship matters.
How you feel with me matters just as much as the work we are doing. I check in often because the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest indicators of whether counselling is actually helping.

Therapy does not always have to feel heavy.
It is pretty normal to hear laughter coming from my room. While we may be exploring grief, patterns, relationships, or difficult emotions, I also believe humour, connection, and moments of lightness are part of healing too.

The space matters.
Whether online or in person, I want the space to feel calming, grounded, and safe. My office is intentionally designed with soft lighting, comfortable lounges, and sensory elements inspired by nature. If I cannot bring the Canadian forest to you, I can bring the feeling of it.

Training matters — but it is not everything.
My education and clinical background provide structure and understanding, but my lived experience, continued self-work, and ability to sit alongside people in real and human ways are equally important.

Trauma lives in the body, not just the mind.
I believe trauma is not only about what happened to us, but what happened inside us as a result. Trauma can show up as patterns, shutdown, overwhelm, numbness, or feeling stuck. Trauma work with me is not about forcing you to relive the past. It is about creating enough safety for your nervous system to settle so clarity, connection, and choice can return.

You know your life better than anyone. My role is to help you understand yourself more clearly, notice patterns that may be difficult to see alone, and support you in creating a life that feels more aligned and meaningful to you.

What Counselling With Me Is Like

Counselling with me is conversational, reflective, and collaborative. Together we work to understand what is happening beneath the surface while building practical ways forward. I aim for sessions to feel supportive, honest, and grounded — with a sense of movement and progress over time.

I offer:

  • Video and phone sessions across Canada (BC & Ontario).

  • In-person counselling in Caloundra and Maleny, Queensland

  • Telehealth sessions across Australia
